It’s back to school time! The chaos and fun of back to school shopping is upon us and we need to be prepared for the onslaught of sicknesses that will come in the next month. I don’t know about you, but my daughters always catch the very first cold they encounter at school. Luckily, we have elderberry syrup to help.
At the first sign of nasal congestion or a hoarse voice, we give elderberry syrup twice a day to everyone in the family. For our girls, we give 1 teaspoon per dose. My husband and I each take a tablespoon.
As you head back to school, Live Berry Well elderberry syrup makes for a perfect back to school gift for teachers! As a teacher I can attest that we are talking ALL day and our throats are incredibly sore for the first week or two of school. The elderberries, honey and ginger in the syrup help me with my sore throats. I will often take 3 tablespoons worth of syrup in my lunchbox and sip from it from time to time throughout the day.
My favorite evening routine is a hot cup of chamomile tea with a tablespoon of elderberry syrup to sweeten it. The honey in the syrup is the perfect sweetener and the spices meld so well with the mellow taste of chamomile. It’s a win win!
So while you are ordering your back to school bottle, think about the teachers that are with your children all day and order an extra for them too. I’m sure that teacher will appreciate your thoughtfulness!
